Chapter 434: The Fantastic Fate Wheel

There was a hole on Meng Huo’s back where blood was spilling out. He seemed to have not noticed it and was staring blankly at Lu Li’s hand.

Lu Li was cupping his fists and he had retracted his Blood Claw. His hands appeared to be slender and delicate, no different from that of others. But his right hand was covered in blood which was still dripping…

Meng Huo and the other three of the Titan Race looked at Lu Li’s hands in surprise. He had been facing the Titans with his back while his hand was hidden in his sleeve, and the Titans weren’t able to notice what had happened when Lu Li was so fast.

Looking at his hand now, none of the Titans saw anything wrong. Therefore, Meng Huo was surprised. He didn’t understand how Lu Li could injure his back, almost grabbing his heart in the process.

“All hail Saint Lord!”

Meng Zhi shouted. He knew very clearly how strong the Titan Race were in their defense, no weaker than the Mammoth Race. Also, Meng Huo’s dark golden scales didn’t succeed in stopping Lu Li. Lu Li’s abilities assured Meng Zhi of his choice.

Lu Li was only at the middle stage of the Fate Wheel Realm and he could already be as fast as one in the Human Sovereign Realm. Furthermore, he was so aggressive in his attacks that not even Meng Huo could avoid being hurt. Lu Li was only 17. After several decades, how powerful could he be?

“All hail Saint Lord!”

Ye Cha and his patriarchs bowed and shouted as well. Their eyes glistened so brightly. Lu Li had used all his means and his growth had exceeded the expectation of Ye Cha. Now, they could see hope.

“That was impressive!”

Bai Qiuxue exclaimed. There was a silver glare in Lu Li’s eyes and his silver claw was seen by her. But she didn’t mind it a bit. Love is blind. She would be with Lu Li even if he turned into an ogre.

Meng Huo took out a pellet from his Interspatial Ring after he stood in confusion for a while. He said sulkily, “I admit defeat. I will invite our Clan Leader here right now. Wait for three days. As for how he will respond, I cannot tell you.”

Meng Huo’s admission of defeat made Lu Li think better of him. This race was not cunning and they stood by their words. It was nice to know that they were willing to admit defeat.

“I was just lucky. Patriarch Meng, don’t mind it!”

Lu Li was trying to spare Meng Huo some embarrassment but Meng Huo did not appreciate that. He said with a snort, “Winners are winners and losers are losers. There is nothing more to say. If you didn’t stop, I would have been dead by now.”

With that said, Meng Huo turned around and left. Lu Li signaled Chee-ker to chase after him and find him a place to live.

Lu Li and the others returned to the imperial palace. After taking seats, Ye Cha cupped his fists and said, “Congratulations, Saint Lord, you have made huge progress in your mastery of the Profound Meaning. As far as I can tell, this Profound Meaning must be above the seventh-rank. It may be an eighth-rank or ninth-rank one!”

The other patriarchs of the Cyan Phoenix Race nodded along. Lu Li asked with doubt, “Really? If an eighth or ninth rank Profound Meaning can be learned so easily, I think everyone at the Central Plains will master Profound Meanings.”

Lu Li didn’t know what his Profound Meaning was called and he named it Speed. He was taken aback by Ye Cha’s words. Lu Renhuang’s Profound Meaning was only of the sixth rank and he was one of the most talented geniuses of the Central Plains for over 100,000 years. If so, could Ye Cha’s words suggest that Lu Li was even more powerful than Lu Renhuang?

Ye Cha explained, “Only a Profound Meaning above the seventh-rank can increase the speed of the middle stage of the Eternal Realm to the Human Sovereign Realm instantly.”

“Middle stage of the Eternal Realm?”

Lu Li was stunned. Then he remembered that his Fate Wheel could move at a speed comparable to the middle stage of the Eternal Realm.

“Fate Wheel?”

Lu Li started to spin on the spot and then released the Profound Meaning to rush out of the imperial palace at the top of his speed.

What let him down was that—without the Fate Wheel, the Profound Meaning only increased his speed by a small fraction. At best, he was only as fast as the peak of the Eternal Realm.

Ye Cha and the others were confused to see Lu Li rushing in and out at a slower speed.

Lu Li seemed to be disappointed. He had proven one thing. The Profound Meaning was not that impressive and it was by no means above the seventh-rank.

The fact that he could be so fast was attributable to his Fate Wheel. In other words, his Fate Wheel enabled his speed to be increased drastically and the Profound Meaning enhanced that effect.

His Fate Wheel was odd and fantastic!

Even though Lu Li confirmed that his Profound Meaning was not above the seventh-rank, he managed to adjust his mindset soon.

The Fate Wheel was his own. Whether Profound Meaning was of the seventh-rank or not, he was fast, amazingly fast. This was a component of his power. In the future, he shall have no fear of warriors of the Noble Lord Realm. If he could not defeat them, he could at least run away from them.

He didn’t explain to Ye Cha and the others.

He couldn’t even figure out the silver dragon on his Fate Wheel which was his secret. He would not tell anyone, not even… Bai Qiuxue.

He let Ye Cha and others go and said to Bai Qiuxue, “Qiuxue, I have some secrets that even I don’t understand. So… I cannot tell you right now. All I can say is that… I am a human being.”

“Say no more!”

Bai Qiuxue put her pretty delicate hand over his mouth. She smiled and said, “What if you’re not? I like you because it’s you.”

Lu Li smiled and hugged her. But he seemed to be in serious thoughts. A couple of days later, the Clan Leader of the Titan Race would be here. Would things go smoothly?

The Titan Race came from the Mammoth Race which was an established fact. But the Titan Race didn’t answer to orders of the Mammoth Race. Meng Huo didn’t even care about Meng Zhi, let alone the God of Meng, Titan Race’s Clan Leader, who was at the Human Sovereign Realm.

Titan Race hated humans. How could Lu Li convince the Clan Leader that he could bring the Titan Race back to the Central Plains and help them take back their ancestral land when Lu Li himself was doubtful of that?

If he could not convince the Titan Race, then he would have to give up on the Deserted World…

Then how would he face what was going to come next when Song Qi sneaked into the Northern Desert?

Bai Qiuxue sensed the tension. She looked up. She seemed to be able to see through everything with her gem-like eyes. With a gentle sigh, she said, “Lu Li, don’t give yourself too much pressure. Worst comes to worst, we will leave the Northern Desert and find a small island to live in seclusion.”

“In seclusion?”

Lu Li forced a smile. If he was only some average guy, it might be a good idea to live in seclusion with a beautiful wife.

Small island?

Then what about Lu Ling? His parents? What about Ming Yu, the Bai Family, and Ye Cha?

There would be not enough resources on the small island. Nobody would be able to cultivate, and the Bai Family would fall apart.

Bai Qiuxue sighed. She knew that her idea was na?ve. Women in love really were less smart.

“Never mind. Heaven never seals off all the exits!”

Lu Li felt less grim. Indulging in worries wouldn’t bring him anything. He would do his best and leave the rest to fate. It would all come down to the attitude of the Clan Leader of Titan Race when he arrived in a couple of days.
