Chapter 39 Token Of Recognition

The passionate kiss from Bing Tong and Jiang Ming continued for a few more minutes before Bing Tong pushed him slightly away.

With a bashful expression, Bing Tong mumbled, "We should stop this… father is still outside waiting anxiously."

"How come I didn\'t know you were the shy type of person," Jiang Ming teased as he nodded his head.

He stood up and extended a hand for Bing Tong. Bing Tong did not refuse it as she grabbed onto his hand and got up with his help.

Afterward, they both fixed their clothes as Jiang Ming exclaimed inwardly, \'Save the Tiger Locked Formation method and deactivate it.\'

Ding!

<Tiger locked Formation method saved>

__

Jiang Ming smiled when he felt the Tiger Locked Formation ability disappear into the room.

"Let\'s head out now," Jiang Ming then said as he opened the door.

The first thing he noticed was Zhao Tong pacing around the room anxiously.

"J-Jiang Ming, How is my daughter?" Zhao Tong saw Jiang Ming as he frantically rushed toward him and asked nervously.

"Father, you are not acting like an emperor at all," Bing Tong said as she stepped outside the room with a radiant smile on her face.

Zhao Tong ignored Bing Tong\'s tease as he hugged her tighter and started inspecting her everywhere.

When he realized a change in color of Bing Tong\'s lip, Zhao Tong was a bit confused as he stared at it more closely.

Bing Tong started sweating a little bit as she pushed her father away slightly

"Why are you staring at me so intensely, father? I had just recovered from the illness thanks to Jiang Ming\'s help." Bing Tong then said, diverting Zhao Tong\'s attention.

"Right, right, father is just excited that you are finally cured." Zhao Tong nodded his head without suspecting anything else.

He turned around and faced Jiang Ming in a solemn expression. Afterward, he bowed slightly and thanked Jiang Ming for his help.

"Thank you for saving my daughter. Words cannot describe how grateful I am right now. I-I have searched for every miracle doctor and alchemist in hope of curing my daughter but all of them were helpless."

Zhao Tong felt bitter as he recalled how hopeless he was when all of them told him that the poison had seeped too deeply into her bone marrow and that extracting it out was impossible.

Jiang Ming remained silent as he walked forward and patted his shoulders.

"You don\'t have to thank me at all. After all, I\'ll be receiving your payment now," Jiang Ming said in a cheeky tone.

Everyone looked toward Jiang Ming in disbelief at how he could ruin a touching atmosphere in an instant.

Even Bing Tong couldn\'t help but stomped her foot down in anger as she glared at Jiang Ming. He had taken advantage of her during the curing process yet he still wanted to receive payment.

How could she be so unlucky in meeting such a shameless scoundrel in her life?

"Cough, Jiang Ming, didn\'t you already receive 200,000 spirit stones from us already?" Zhao Tong cleared his throat as he reminded Jiang Ming about the amount of spirit stones he had gotten from him.

"That 200,000 spirit stones were for the Spiritual Master rank technique though. It has nothing to do with the curing of Bing Tong." Jiang Ming replied swiftly as he made an evil grin.

He wasn\'t going to lose this chance in making Zhao Tong do something for him.

\'I would never ever work for free, old man,\' Jiang Ming smirked inwardly as he waited for Zhao Tong\'s response.

"Fine, how much do you want?" Zhao Tong placed his hands at his hip and shouted toward Jiang Ming.

Jiang Ming could sense Bing Tong was about to get fired up about him being such a money-grubber and decided to state what he wanted as quickly as possible.

After all, he doesn\'t want to lose his advantage if Bing Tong decided to inform Zhao Tong about what happened inside.

"I don\'t need any spirit stones from you, old man." Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders. "All I want is a token of recognition, meaning that I want you to come to the Moon Bazaar and proclaim it as the best store in the Central District."

Since he was the owner of the Moon Bazaar now, any profits earned from it would go to his pocket so, in a way, this was Jiang Ming\'s investment for the future.

Meanwhile, Zhao Tong was in disbelief as he stared at Jiang Ming blankly.

"Old man?" Jiang Ming raised an eyebrow as he asked in concern.

His condition was pretty simple and didn\'t require much effort so he was surprised to see Zhao Tong standing in a daze.

Zhao Tong snapped out of his daze as he stuttered, "That\'s all you wanted from me?"

Jiang Ming nodded his head.

"Phew, I thought you would want the reward I offered up for curing Bing Tong," Zhao Tong wiped a sweat off his forehead with his sleeve as he breathed a sigh of relief.

Jiang Ming tilted his head in confusion as he asked, "Reward for curing Bing Tong?"

Before Zhao Tong could reply, Bing Tong gave a smirk as she walked toward Jiang Ming and whispered softly.

"My father has offered a million spirit stones and even went as far as giving them the power to utilize the military as long as they managed to cure me."

As she finished her sentence, Bing Tong started giggling at Jaing Ming who had turned ashen.

\'Heh, who told you to take advantage of me multiple times. Serve you right for losing out on such great rewards,\' Bing Tong exclaimed inwardly as she leaned toward a wall, glancing at Jiang Ming\'s mood swing.

"Damn it, what a blunder I had made," Jiang Ming smacked his head with his hand as he started to curse himself.

However, he soon calmed down as he smiled wickedly at Bing Tong who thought she had won.

"Old man, did you know your precious daughter was trying to bed with me after I finished treating her poison." Jiang Ming said with an evil grin.
